Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Kalima platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to the Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Kalima provides real-time multilingual transcription and translation services. The Service includes web, desktop, and mobile applications, APIs, and related support services.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Upload or transmit any harmful code, malware, or otherwise compromise security.
  • Record, transcribe, or translate content for which you do not have the necessary rights or consent.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Kalima and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your content remains yours — we do not claim ownership over user-generated transcriptions or translations.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

Some features require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are provided only where required by applicable law.

7. Data Handling and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy which governs how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kalima shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violating these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the applicable laws of the member state in which Kalima is established, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
